Gildredge Park – 08/10/2016
The Birth of Portrait in the park.
The problem you find with many professional photographers out there is they don’t take many pictures if they’re not being paid for it, but my wife always says what is the point of being married to a photographer if I’m not getting some nice shots of the family so one day we decided to go to the park with the camera and get some nice family shots.
After uploading the pictures to my computer, I noticed how beautiful the background was plus capturing the real smiles and fun of the children climbing on the rocks and playing on the swings looked so much better than those posed/fake smiles with this Portrait in the Park was born.
I then went back to previous brides from my wedding photography whom had asked me in the past if I could do some family photos which I had turned down because of my limited access to a studio asking them weather they’d like to venture to there local park to take a few snaps all of which jumped at the chance, after receiving some lovely feedback with a lot of them saying they’d preferred it to the studio photography they have had done in the past I came to the conclusion that portrait and family photography shoots don’t have to be done in a studio and in fact taking photos of the family in a much more natural environment looked so much better too.
